Dr. Joseph F. McWherter is a board-certified OB/GYN and respected leader in women’s health, hormonal balance, and functional medicine. With more than four decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to helping women achieve optimal wellness through personalized, preventative care.
After earning dual undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. McWherter completed his Medical Degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas in 1977 and his OB/GYN residency in 1981. He holds numerous professional affiliations, including Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, among many others.
As the Medical Director of the FEM Centre and Energy Health Centre in Colleyville and Fort Worth, Dr. McWherter has helped thousands of women restore balance and vitality through a functional approach that addresses the body as an integrated system — not a collection of isolated parts.
